Video Game Design Tutorial #17: Digital Recording, Sample Rate and Bit Depth



For this tutorial video, I will cover the basics of recording more sophisticated sound waves using a microphone, as well as how the data is stored digitally using a specific sample rate at a specific bit depth.

Sadly, TwistedWave is not able to support more sophisticated audio editing techniques as discussed in this tutorial video, so you would have to use different software depending on whether you are a computer (PC/Mac) or mobile user (including tablet users).

Because I am a computer user, I teach with Audacity, and the link is https://www.audacityteam.org/download/

However, for mobile users you would have to use WavePad Audio Editor instead, which can be downloaded from https://www.nch.com.au/wavepad/index.html
